Crace Landcare Group

Crace Landcare Group volunteers are keen to ensure that our suburb is clean and supports a sustainable and healthy environment. We focus on rubbish pick ups and weeding throughout Crace’s public areas. This includes a number of reserves with remnant woodland, recreation areas such as parks and playgrounds, and artificial ponds and drainage channels that have been designed to filter stormwater before it enters Ginninderra Creek.

Our Group meets for about an hour once per month, except January, alternating between Saturday and Sunday mornings - 9am start in hotter months, 10am start in cooler months. Dates are somewhat random, and our working bees are advertised through our Facebook page (insert link), our email list and also on the Crace Community Association website<cracecommunity.com.au>. Equipment, including gloves, rubbish bags, weed wands and litter claws, is provided to help with our work. At the end of our working bees we enjoy morning tea provided courtesy of the Crace Community Association. This provides a great opportunity to get to know other Crace residents.
