It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of all training seminars for the 2021 FrogCensus!
Such a shame – as this year marks the 20th FrogCensus!!
Covid restrictions permitting we would like to encourage all trained FrogWatchers to survey their usual sites (please let Anke Maria know) on mild and still October nights.
I will miss you all a lot this October!
Looking forward to a huuuuuuge get together for a belated FrogWatch anniversary party in autumn!
That’s a pity that the census is not happening as I have noticed that there are no frogs in our Kaleen backyard pond for the first time in 20 years…A friend in Palmerston mentioned the same absence in her ponds and we were wondering if it is the result of the increase in rainfall during the winter/spring in 2020 and this year? In Kaleen we used to have the spotted grass frog but mostly the Eastern Common Froglet
Has anyone else commented on this?
