The Friends of Wangara Parks Group formed in 2019 to look after the natural beauty of urban open areas, used by the local community in Aranda.
Geographic focus: The two pocket parks are in Wangara Street, off Bandjalong Cresent in Aranda. They include a playground area.
Minimising soil erosion (photo upper row, right), working on weeds and organising planting events were among the many activities identified during a community planning event (photo bottom row, middle).
